Why drivers come back
Straight Answers From the Bay to the Counter
Plenty of shops can bolt on parts. What sets a repair apart is knowing which part, and saying so plainly. These are the habits that make a visit here feel different from the last time you dreaded a phone call from a shop.
We rank the work for you
Not every finding is an emergency. You get three piles: what affects safety today, what will cost more if ignored, and what can wait until next season. Spend where it counts.
Repair or replace, argued honestly
Big drivetrain failures come with a fork in the road, and we price each branch so you can compare them. Sometimes a rebuild wins. Sometimes a replacement unit does. Occasionally the right call is neither, and we will tell you that too.
Fifteen years under the hood
The technician working on your vehicle has fifteen years in the auto repair industry and holds master certifications from several vehicle manufacturers. That background shows in how fast a stubborn fault gets found.
Gasoline and diesel in the same bays
A sedan, a crossover and a Power Stroke can share the shop on a Tuesday. You do not need one mechanic for the family car and a separate dealer for the truck.
How a visit runs
Three Steps, No Guesswork
Phone in the symptom
Explain the sound, the light or the feel, plus when it shows up. We book a time on a weekday and note the symptoms so the inspection starts in the right place. If anything you describe sounds unsafe to drive on, we tell you right then.
We find it and show you
The vehicle gets tested until the cause is confirmed. Then you see the evidence, whether that is a scored rotor, a code with live data behind it or a leak under dye, along with a written price for each fix. Findings are sorted into urgent, soon and later, so you can see where your money does the most good.
You choose, we repair
Approve all of it, some of it or none of it. Approved work is done, road-tested and handed back with the old parts available for you to look at. Your invoice lists every part and every hour, in language that makes sense.
Where we work
Serving Fraser and the Rest of Grand County
Fraser sits in the middle of a long valley, and drivers reach us from both ends of it. Whether you commute down from Grand Lake or up from Hot Sulphur Springs, the repair process is the same. A booked slot, a proper test and a written price, whether you live two blocks away or forty minutes up the road.
Mountain miles, read correctly
Long grades on US-40 cook brakes and load transmissions in ways flat-land driving never does. We factor in how and where you drive before deciding a part is worn out.
Booked, not rushed
Work is scheduled on weekdays so your vehicle gets a proper slot instead of being squeezed between other jobs. You know when to drop it off and roughly when to expect a call.
One number for the valley
From Winter Park to Granby, it is the same shop on the other end of (970) 535-8315. Call once and we will tell you how soon we can look at it.

Ask if we reach you — (970) 535-8315Hearing Something New? Get It Named Before It Gets Worse
A grind, a shudder or a light on the dash rarely fixes itself. One call gets you a booked inspection and a plain explanation of what is going on. Small problems caught early are almost always cheaper than the ones that announce themselves on a dark highway.
The inspection is free and comes with no obligation.
Questions we hear
Auto Repair Questions, Answered
Short answers to the things drivers ask most before they book. If yours is not here, call and ask; there is no such thing as a silly question about a strange noise.
Can I supply my own parts?
- Ask first and we will tell you honestly whether it makes sense. Some parts are fine to bring in. Others, especially cheap electronic sensors, cause more trouble than they save, and repairs done with customer-supplied parts are not covered by our repair warranty.
Will an independent shop void my factory coverage?
- No. Federal law lets you have routine service done anywhere; what the manufacturer wants is proof it happened on time and with the right fluids. We give you a detailed invoice for every visit so the paper trail is there if you ever need it.
What happens during the free vehicle inspection?
- We go over the systems that keep the vehicle safe and running: brakes, steering and suspension parts, fluids, belts and hoses, lights and anything you mentioned on the phone. You get the findings ranked by urgency, with no obligation to approve a thing.
How many hours should I set aside for new brakes?
- Pads and rotors on one axle usually take a couple of hours once the parts are here. Calipers, lines or a full system flush add time. We confirm the estimate when you drop the vehicle off, so you can plan the day.
My transmission is acting up. Fix the one I have, or swap in another?
- It depends on what failed, the mileage and what you plan to do with the vehicle. A rebuild often makes sense on a well-kept unit with one bad component. A replacement unit can be quicker and simpler when the damage is widespread. We price both before you decide.
Why does my car drift to one side on the highway?
- Uneven tire pressure is the easy answer, but worn tie rods, a sticking caliper or tired control-arm bushings can do it too. We check the cheap causes first and only move on to parts once the simple things are ruled out.
What warranty comes with a repair?
- Our repair warranty runs 12 months or 12,000 miles. Should a part we installed give out during that stretch, the shop takes care of it at no cost to you.
Do you work on every make?
- We service domestic, Asian and European cars, SUVs and light trucks, plus light-duty diesel pickups. If a vehicle needs a dealer-only tool or programming, we will say so up front instead of keeping it for a week and calling you to pick it back up.
